Established over six decades ago, Silver Cup has become one of the largest commercial fish feed manufactures in the United States . Founded in 1929 by Sterling H. Nelson the company actually started as a modest wholesale produce business.

Then in 1956 three of Sterling ’s sons formulated a dry pelleted fish feed. The demand for the new product was so overwhelming that two years later the company devoted all of its manufacturing facilities to the exclusive production of Silver Cup fish feeds.

Today, the plant is operated by the third generation of Nelson’s who are actively involved in the day-to-day management and operation of Silver Cup.
